Kate becomes Patron to the Eternal Forest Trust
Sep, 2022

Kate is enormously honoured to have become a Patron for The Eternal Forest Trust on Pen Llyn in North Wales.

Kate visited this beautiful woodland burial site when filming in north Wales for Off the Beaten TrackCoedwig Boduan as it is known locally – has led the way with green burials and is the only mature woodland burial site in north Wales.

Kate’s first visit as Patron is to their very special 17th birthday party on Saturday 22nd October, which will help raise funds for the charity’s planned new site on Ynys Môn. There will be tree walks through the woods with Rhys Mwyn, live music, a treasure hunt, cake competition and good food. Everyone is very welcome.

As a champion of green burials, Kate said: “I’m delighted this beautiful burial ground continues to prove a much-needed alternative to conventional cemeteries & provides such an uplifting and special place for many more people to be laid to rest and remembered.”

People from all over the UK have plots at Coedwig Boduan and they want to ensure that anyone, whatever their means, can afford a green burial plot.
